Since patents are supposed to be for objects and processes that were not intuitively obvious, which no longer seems to be the case in the now perverted system, then Apple should have to answer to several other progenitors of the tablet idea. In the movie, 2001, a flat display movable "placemat" is shown with a video playing on it. Star Trek, The next Generation, features numerous examples of hand-held tablets with computer-like displays on them. I think the authors of these works should hold Apple accountable for ripping off their concepts.
Apple produces some great products and actually does innovate, but the technique of delaying competition through dubious patents in a broken patent system is reprehensible. What are your views?
